Fan-Favorite Products That Have Been Discontinued at Costco

photo:twitter.com

Aside from being the mother of all discount retailers where customers can save a ton on home goods, Costco has also earned a reputation for its delicious and widely consumed snacks. These treats could be available both in the wide aisles and in the food court, where shoppers would pause after filling their kitchens.

Unfortunately, much to the dismay of Costco devotees, the wholesaler often chooses to stop carrying some of its most well-liked products. Fortunately, there are certain ways to determine which items have already made their way to a better place and some insider knowledge on how to identify when a hot product is about to disappear. Be ready to bid farewell to some of these beloved Costco favorites…

BBQ Beef Brisket Sandwich

Many would argue that the BBQ beef brisket sandwich is the greatest thing to purchase from Costco’s renowned food court. They were obviously shocked to learn that this delectable sandwich was no longer being offered, if not outright unhappy. Finding such a good snack in such an unexpected place was a wonderful surprise.

Many people used to find the combination of rich cole slaw, acidic barbecue sauce, and the pulled beef to be mouthwatering. Sadly, Costco made the decision to replace this cherished product with a cup of chili, which some have found to be somewhat subpar.

Cinnamon Sugar Pretzels

Okay, this one isn’t the healthiest for us, but it’s definitely delicious. The soft pretzels at the food court were definite fan favorites, especially the cinnamon sugar flavor. People happened to love their churros, but these pretzels were even better.

It’s not clear why the superstore stopped selling these crowd-pleasers, but it definitely disappointed shoppers. As Costco constantly evaluates what items they serve in the food court, few things will be missed as badly as these cinnamon sugar little pieces of heaven.

Polish Dogs

Costco offers discounts on items other than food. In fact, a lot of individuals join Costco only to have access to some of the food court goods. As a result, when Costco decided to cease producing their adored Polish dogs, there was a huge uproar from the public. The typical grocery store shopper made the tasty, portable hot dog his or her snack of choice.

According to Costco, they eliminated the product to create room on their food court menu for healthier options. After taking away our cherished Polish dog, they substituted an acai bowl, but a vegan snack of berries and granola simply can’t compare to a delectable hot dog. Maybe they’ll find a vegetarian-friendly middle ground.

All-American Chocolate Cake

Right, everyone likes cake. The All-American Chocolate Cake was another adored product that sparked outrage when Costco chose to stop selling it. A Change.org petition was launched when Costco informed the public of the situation in an effort to get the retailer to change its ways.

The petition termed Costco’s decision to discontinue producing the cake an “insult” since a seven-pound treat of rich, chocolate delight was amazingly just $16.99. It doesn’t make the loss any easier to bear, even though we are aware that the 13,000 calories in this cake were not great for our health.

American Cheese

American cheese now has a terrible reputation for being overly processed, however Kirkland Signature American Cheese was unquestionably of superior quality than some competing brands. Cheese is a meal that can be used in many different ways, so it’s always best to have extra on hand.

Every refrigerator should have this 120-slice box with five pounds of cheese because it goes well with hamburgers that have just come off the grill. Customers will have to settle with just receiving enough cheese in their standard-sized packages going forward or risk paying extra for branded brands now that it’s gone.

Kirkland Signature Turkey Burgers

This one stung when Costco chose to cease offering its Kirkland Signature Turkey Burgers. These weren’t only tasty; they were also beneficial to your health. Each burger only included 200 calories, had 35 grams of protein, and just a little amount of fat and carbohydrates.

A petition to overturn this choice was also established, however it received few signatures. Other turkey burger choices at Costco are OK in comparison to the discontinued Kirkland Signature Turkey Burgers. It’s uncertain when these eccentric favorites will make a true comeback.

Fannie May S’Mores Snack Mix

With Fannie May S’mores Snack Mix, Costco has the ideal product to transport us back to those pleasant August evenings spent around the campfire. They discovered a technique to give us a sense of nostalgia for our younger years without creating the unavoidable mess of marshmallow, chocolate, and graham cracker crumbs.

The main criticism posted by customers of this product online was that they would consume a whole bag in a single sitting. To the surprise of many adults who are still kids in heart, Costco chose to stop stocking this irresistible dessert in its shops as of the end of 2021. However, it could still be accessible online.

Parmigiano Reggiano Wedges

Losing cheese is never good, but in this instance Costco made the choice a little harder. The “insanely delicious” Parmigiano Reggiano Wedges have been permanently withdrawn from sale at the superstore. The wedges provide a cost-effective way to enjoy the delectable cheese.

A medium-sized slice was provided to enable for eating, grating, or maybe even as a novel present idea. In lieu of the cheese wedges, Costco now only sells Parmigiano Reggiano in a gigantic $960 wheel or a $15 grated container. This doesn’t seem like a logical alternative choice for some reason.

Combo Pizza

Since the closure of the Costco locations in 2020, things have just not been the same. In many instances, the treasure-filled food courts with their unexpectedly tasty snack alternatives have stayed closed. Although some are reopening, the popular combination pizza won’t be making a comeback on the menu.

The combo pizza was an easy-to-grab combination of delectable sausages, pepperoni, and mixed vegetables. Why a well-known item like the combination pizza would be taken off the menu is perplexing, but at least until 2022, it won’t be available.

Having an inexpensive meal on hand that you can quickly prepare in the microwave is fantastic. The fact that the Tasty Bite Tikka Masala was both tasty and nutritious makes things better. Costco no longer carries this popular foreign brand, which is unfortunate.

The lentils from Tasty Bite have taken the place of the all-in-one meal, but they don’t have the same impact or elicit the same desires. No explanation for why it disappeared off the shelves has been confirmed. However, the meal is still offered in other supermarkets, but at a greater cost.

Litehouse Freeze-Dried Garlic

A ubiquitous ingredient in every chef’s kitchen is garlic. With their Litehouse Freeze-Dried Garlic product, Costco provided the ideal solution for keeping garlic easily accessible and at a competitive price. It made sense for folks who often prepare meals at home since it came in a large jar.

45 entire garlic cloves would be covered by one jar of the Litehouse product. That is nothing to laugh at for a wise consumer. For the time being, this unbelievable deal has disappeared from the Costco shelves. But Costco promises to keep working with Litehouse on more spices.

Brookside Strawberry & Passion Fruit

Some people consider chocolate to be a necessary snack, while others fear it’s tempting effects on their attempts at dieting. Dark chocolates from Brookside that can be found at Costco for a fair price are no different and could even be harder to resist. Unfortunately, the superstore no longer carries the special treat.

Rich dark chocolate confections with tart fruit fillings are a specialty of Brookside. By substituting some fruit for the chocolate, the fusion produces a guilty-pleasure sweet that doesn’t taste nearly as horrible for you. The distinctive strawberry and passion fruit taste is no longer offered, but the chocolate and acai flavor is still accessible.

Kirkland Signature Mediterranean Blend Oil

Everyone nowadays is concerned about eating healthy, therefore it is convenient when things are already nutritious. Kirkland’s Signature 100% Mediterranean Blend Oil was a huge hit among Costco customers. Since then, it has been abandoned, albeit there is no clear cause.

For everyday usage, the Mediterranean Blend offers a large selection of nutritious cooking oil. It contains grape seed, canola, and olive oils, all of which are part of the heart-healthy Mediterranean diet. Many customers have been itching to locate a comparable substitute since this item vanished.

Kevin’s Natural Foods Products

Maintaining a diet while juggling a hectic schedule requires finding quick, healthful meals. Many people found it simple to adhere to rigorous diets because of Kevin’s Natural Food Products’ selection of gluten-free, ketogenic, and paleolithic foods. Sadly, Costco no longer carries these quick dinners.

Many people found it to be a godsend to complete a whole dinner on a weeknight without stressing, but they will now need to search elsewhere for Kevin’s Products. These quick meals may reappear at some point, but for the time being, Costco no longer carries them, much to the chagrin of dieting customers.

Lavazza Espresso Italian Whole Bean Coffee

The removal of this next favorite of stores has angered coffee aficionados. Many people have a habit of grinding their own coffee each morning before brewing a new cup. Costco no longer sells whole beans of Lavazza Espresso Italiano coffee. The gourmet taste could be available elsewhere, but it might cost more.

For those who like Italian coffee, this wonderful mix had a special taste. Knowing that the mix was a brand name at a discount retailer made it taste even better to customers. However, the final shipments have already physically departed the warehouses. For Costco, this expensive package of energizing coffee bliss is no longer available.

Bibigo’s Organic Potstickers

Another enjoyable, simple meal option is no longer available to buyers. When you don’t have much time to prepare a complete meal for supper on a weekday, Bibigo’s Organic Potstickers come in handy. These abruptly and without much notice started to vanish from Costco shops.

Although Bibigo sells other items, the potstickers are a perennial favorite. They may be boiled, pan-fried, or microwaved to accommodate various diets and yet provide a delicious organic meal. If you’re craving potstickers, there could be other options in Costco’s frozen food aisle, but you no longer need to look for Bibigo’s organic brand.

Pots & Co. Fudge Lava Cake

A warm slice of cake has a particular place in people’s hearts and tummies. Pots & Co. Fudge Lava Cake from Costco included a luscious chocolate cake that could be simply re-heated at home as required. For the foreseeable future, Costco will no longer carry this luscious delight.

Dark Colombian chocolate served as the foundation for Pots & Co.’s fudge lava cake, an irresistible treat. Customers at Costco are openly “infatuated” with its quality and swear by it. The beloved dessert is now completely out of stock at Costco stores all throughout the country, perhaps as a result of supply problems.
